Fracking Industry: Injunction Against Federal Rule Needed

Mealey's (July 2, 2015, 6:29 AM EDT) -- CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Independent Petroleum Association (IPA) and the Western Energy Alliance (WEA), which have filed a lawsuit against the federal government regarding new regulations pertaining to hydraulic fracturing, on June 15 filed a brief in Wyoming federal court contending that a collection of environmental groups intervening in the lawsuit have a “misplaced” approach because whether the final rule is good policy is “not the question before the court at this time” and the federal rule should be stayed by an injunction (State of Wyoming v. U.S. Department of the Interior, et al., No. 15-00043, D. Wyo.)....
