Fracking Company XTO Energy To Pay $400,000 To Resolve Pennsylvania Dumping Case

(August 5, 2016, 11:38 AM EDT) -- HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office on Aug. 4 announced that it had reached a settlement agreement with hydraulic fracturing operator XTO Energy Inc. in which it will pay $400,000 to resolve allegations that it illegally discharged toxic waste from a Marcellus Shale gas well site in Lycoming County, Pa.
