Interest Group Says It Should Be Allowed To Intervene In Fracking Case

Mealey's (August 5, 2016, 11:32 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — An association that represents independent oil and gas producers and royalty owners in Texas on Aug. 3 filed a brief in District of Columbia federal court contending that it should be granted permission to intervene in a lawsuit brought by environmental advocacy groups who sued the administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency alleging that the agency has failed to meet its duties to review and revise regulations pertaining to the threats posed by waste from hydraulic fracturing and oil forms of drilling (Environmental Integrity Project, et al. v. Gina McCarthy, No. 16-842, D. D.C.)....
