Former Professional Football Player: Insurer’s Actions Were ‘Unethical, Unscrupulous’

(July 26, 2016, 11:04 AM EDT) -- CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A professional football player who allegedly suffered a career-ending concussion in August 2013 sued his insurer in a North Carolina court on July 18, contending that the insurer’s actions and practices regarding his claim for permanent total disability were “unfair, deceptive, unethical, unscrupulous, improper and unlawful” (Haruki Nakamura v. Certain Underwriters At Lloyd's, London, No. 16-12868, N.C. Super.).
