Uber Seeks Dismissal Of Driver’s Class Action Over Data Breach

Mealey's (June 25, 2015, 2:00 PM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — In a June 18 motion, Uber Technologies Inc. seeks dismissal of a putative class action brought against it by a former driver related to a 2014 breach of Uber’s database, asserting that the plaintiff has not “allege[d] any cognizable injury or harm” and, thus “lacks standing to sue” (Sasha Antman v. Uber Technologies Inc., et al., No. 3:15-cv-01175, N.D. Calif.).
