Class Action Claimant Appeals Ruling For Insurers To 9th Circuit

Mealey's (July 21, 2016, 4:42 PM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — Class action claimants who asserted causes of action for violation of California's unfair competition law (UCL) on July 8 filed a notice of appeal to the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals of a federal judge's decision to grant a motion filed by two insurers to dismiss claims against them for lack of standing (James B. Copelan, et al. v. Infinity Insurance Co., et al., No. 2:16-cv-01355, 2nd Cir.).
