California Court Affirms Los Angeles’ No-Bid Contract For ACA Pharmacy Benefits

Mealey's (June 24, 2015, 2:03 PM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — Management of pharmacy benefits required under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) involve the type of “extraordinary” and “technical” personal services envisioned in the County of Los Angeles’ no-bid contract exemption, a California appeals court held June 17 (Michael Weinstein, et al. v. County of Los Angeles, et al., No. B250857, Calif. App., 2nd Dist.; 2015 Cal. App. LEXIS 524).
