8th Circuit Affirms Dismissal Of FDCPA And TILA Claims Against Bank

Mealey's (July 20, 2016, 1:34 PM EDT) -- ST. LOUIS — The Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on July 6 affirmed a district court's decision to grant a bank's motion to dismiss, finding that claims for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) failed and that his claim for violation of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) was time-barred (Rashad Hasan v. Bank of America, N.A., et al., No. 15-3903, 8th Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 12419).
