Lead Plaintiffs Failed To Plead Scienter Against Drug Maker, Others, Judge Rules

(July 14, 2016, 1:47 PM EDT) -- TRENTON, N.J. — A federal judge in New Jersey on June 20 granted a motion to dismiss filed by defendants in a securities class action lawsuit, ruling that lead plaintiffs failed to properly plead scienter in making claims that the defendants misrepresented the clinical trial success of a glaucoma drug in violation of federal securities laws (Henry A. and Wilma Kelley v. Aerie Pharmaceuticals Inc., et al., No. 15-3007, D. N.J.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 79595).
