Class Certification Denied, Class Counsel Appointed In GM SUV Fuel Suit

(July 14, 2016, 11:14 AM EDT) -- DETROIT — A Michigan federal judge on June 30 denied a request for provisional class certification but appointed class counsel in a complaint accusing General Motors LLC (GM) of falsely reporting fuel economy ratings for three of its SUVs (Sean Tolmasoff, et al. v. General Motors, LLC, No. 16-11747, E.D. Mich.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 85101).
