(July 14, 2016, 11:13 AM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal judge on June 30 denied preliminary approval of a $100 million settlement between Uber Technologies Inc. and its drivers, who allege in two lawsuits that they have been misclassified as independent contractors, finding that the settlement has not been shown to be fair and adequate at this point (Douglas O’Connor, et al. v.
