10th Circuit Reverses $7 Million Verdict In Bicycle Crash Suit
(July 12, 2016, 11:29 AM EDT) -- DENVER — A panel of the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on June 28 reversed a $7 million verdict in favor of a bicyclist who was injured when his bike hit a sinkhole because it found that the U.S. government was immune from liability under the Colorado Recreational Use Act (James Nelson et al. United States of America, No. 14-1322 10th Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 11755).
