European Union Member States Adopt Privacy Shield Agreement With United States
Mealey's (July 11, 2016, 12:57 PM EDT) -- BRUSSELS — In a July 8 statement, European Commission (EC) Vice President Andrus Ansip and European Union (EU) Commissioner Věra Jourová announced that the EU member states had “given strong support” to the previously announced EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, which establishes new protections for transatlantic data transfers and transactions.
