Illinois Appeals Panel Rejects Lawsuit Alleging Sales Tax Overcharges

(July 11, 2016, 10:49 AM EDT) -- MOUNT VERNON, Ill. — An Illinois appeals panel on July 5 affirmed dismissal of a putative class action lawsuit alleging that Papa Murphy’s International LLC (PMI) charges more than the allowed 1 percent sales tax (Edward Karpowicz, et al. v. Papa Murphy’s International LLC, et al., No. 5-15-0320, Ill. App., 5th Dist.; 2016 Ill. App. Unpub. LEXIS 1403).
