Claimant Was Not Disabled Under Terms Of Plan, Ohio Federal Judge Determines
(July 8, 2016, 10:44 AM EDT) -- CLEVELAND — A disability plan administrator’s denial of short-term disability benefits was not arbitrary and capricious because the claimant did not have a disability as defined by the plan and the medical evidence supported the denial, an Ohio federal judge said June 28 (Bruce Corey v. Sedgwick Claims Management Services et al., No. 15-1736, N.D. Ohio; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 84351).
