Group Seeks To Intervene In Fracking Development Case To Protect River Basin

(July 7, 2016, 2:31 PM EDT) -- HARRISBURG, Pa. — An environmental group on July 5 filed a brief in Pennsylvania federal court arguing that it should be permitted to intervene in a hydraulic fracturing lawsuit, contending that it has a “protectable interest and standing to intervene” in a declaratory judgment action brought by a fracking company seeking permission to build a well pad on property the company owns in the Delaware River Basin (DRB) (Wayne Land and Mineral Group LLC v. Delaware River Basin Commission, No. 16-897, M.D. Pa.).
