Bill Would Expedite Drilling On Federal Land In Alaska, Call For Fracking Study

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 4:47 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — A group of congressional representatives on Sept. 15, 2014, proposed a House resolution that would remove obstacles to the production of more domestic energy, including such things as “streamlining” the permit process for companies that want to engage in hydraulic fracturing for oil and gas on federal lands, and would expedite drilling in the National Petroleum Reserve (NPR) in Alaska.
