9th Circuit Affirms Dismissal Of UCL Claims Against Lenders
(June 28, 2016, 4:38 PM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — In a majority ruling, the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on June 21 affirmed a district court's dismissal of claims for fraud and violation of California's unfair competition law (UCL) asserted by a class of students against two lenders (Andrew Bradshaw, et al. v. SLM Corporation, et al., No. 14-16252, 9th Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 11237).
