CMS Reveals Plans To Strengthen ACA Marketplaces By Targeting Young Uninsured

(June 22, 2016, 3:09 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a plan on June 21 to strengthen Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance marketplaces by targeting young, healthy individuals, who are on average more likely to remain uninsured.

The measures include outreach to those who paid the individual responsibility penalty, smarter forms of outreach, facilitating coverage transitions and a public-private partnership designed to engage young adults.
