6th Circuit Erred In Allowing ACA Claims, Tennessee Officials Say

Mealey's (June 21, 2016, 1:06 PM EDT) -- CINCINNATI — An appeals court improperly found that voluntarily mooted class claims remain live, forcing it to then address novel and complex issues involving the interplay between the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicaid, Tennessee officials argue in a June 6 petition for rehearing (Melissa Wilson, et al. v. Darin Gordon, et al., No. 14-6191, 6th Cir.).
