Couple Seeks Certiorari For Ruling Extending Tribe’s Immunity To Limo Driver

Mealey's (June 21, 2016, 11:27 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court should grant review of a Connecticut Supreme Court finding that a limousine driver for an Indian casino is protected from a couple’s personal injury claims by the tribe’s sovereign immunity to resolve a conflict in several circuit courts and the Connecticut high court, the couple argues in a June 13 petition for writ of certiorari (Brian Lewis and Michelle Lewis v.
