Zimmer NexGen Knee Case Dismissed For Lack Of Expert Testimony
(June 20, 2016, 1:27 PM EDT) -- NATCHEZ, Miss. — A Mississippi federal judge on June 16 granted summary judgment in a Zimmer NexGen knee case because the plaintiff failed to present expert testimony that her knee was defective and caused her injuries (Beatrice Chatman v. Zimmer, Inc., et al., No. 14-102, S.D. Miss., W. Div.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 78657).

In 2006, Beatrice Chatman was implanted with a NexGen System knee prosthesis made by Zimmer Inc. In 2013, Chatman experienced loosening of the prosthesis and instability.
