Judge Enjoins Contraceptive Mandate’s Application To Closely Held Company

(June 17, 2016, 2:50 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — A District of Columbia federal judge on June 16 granted a preliminary injunction and stay of proceedings in a closely held corporation’s challenge to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) contraceptive mandate (Johnson Welded Products Inc. and Lilli Johnson v. Sylvia Mathews Burwell, et al., No. 16-557, D. D.C.).
