Defendants: Investor Failed To Plead Misrepresentation, Scienter, Loss Causation

(June 17, 2016, 12:35 PM EDT) -- ATLANTA — A federal district court did not err in dismissing a securities class action complaint because the lead plaintiff in the action failed to plead a material misrepresentation, scienter or loss causation in making his federal securities law claims, defendants argue in a May 13 appellee brief filed in the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals (Glyn Hotz v. Galectin Therapeutics Inc., et al., No. 16-10324, 11th Cir.).
