Consumer’s Debt Collection Class Suit Survives Dismissal Motion

(June 15, 2016, 12:14 PM EDT) -- JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A consumer may proceed with his class complaint against a debt collector and the company that the consumer claims was misidentified as the current creditor, a Florida federal judge ruled June 7 opining that she was unwilling, at such an early stage, to find the consumer’s claim against the debt collector lacked merit (David B.
