Panel Partly Reverses Ruling In Professional Liability Dispute Over Horse’s Death
Mealey's (June 14, 2016, 4:27 PM EDT) -- FRANKFORT, Ky. — A Kentucky appeals panel on June 3 found that two equine veterinarians can be reimbursed only for a single claim that a third-party claimant brought against their veterinary hospital after one insurable event, reversing in part and remanding for an order reflecting that an insurer’s maximum liability is $300,000 (Kentucky Insurance Guarantee Association v. William A. Rood, D.V.M., et al., No. 2014-CA-000642-MR, Ky. App.; 2016 Ky. App. Unpub. LEXIS 383).
