(June 14, 2016, 12:25 PM EDT) -- NEW ORLEANS — A man’s unsupported claim that a defendant acted as a sole distributor alone does not permit the conclusion that he could collect from a nondiverse defendant, and a removing company’s actions in state court do not prevent removal, a federal judge held June 7 (Robin Murphy, et al. v. Alcatel-Lucent USA Inc., et al., No. 15-5566, E.D. La.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 74030).
