California Federal Judge Awards Claimant Attorney Fees For Post-Remand Matters

Mealey's (June 9, 2016, 1:45 PM EDT) -- SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A California federal judge on June 3 awarded a disability claimant approximately $80,000 for attorney fees incurred during post-remand matters on the basis that the claimant achieved some success on the merits of his arguments (David Barboza v. California Association of Professional Firefighters, et al., No. 08-519, E.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 73529).
