Flood Caused Dock Loss; Exclusion Bars Coverage, Federal Judge Rules

(June 8, 2016, 12:36 PM EDT) -- LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — An Arkansas federal judge ruled May 25 that coverage for storm damage to floating docks is barred by an insurance policy’s “flood exclusion,” dismissing the insured’s complaint against its insurer (Hudson Enterprises Inc., d/b/a River Valley Marina v. Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's London Insurance Companies, No. 15-12-DPM, E.D. Ark.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 68679).
