State Water Board, Water District Settle Water Conservation Enforcement

(June 7, 2016, 4:19 PM EDT) -- SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and the Coachella Valley Water District on May 27 announced that they have reached a settlement agreement under which the water district will conducted a water conservation program for landscapers in lieu of a $61,000 fine for failing to meet the state-mandated water conservation standard (Coachella Valley Water District, Order WR 2016-0013-OE, SWRCB).
