11th Circuit: Facility Move Doesn’t Eliminate Employer’s Bargaining Relationship

(June 7, 2016, 1:58 PM EDT) -- ATLANTA — A chemical company’s closure of a Louisiana facility and move to an Alabama one doesn’t eliminate its bargaining relationship with the union representing its workers, the 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled June 3, enforcing a decision by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) (National Labor Relations Board v. Gaylord Chemical Company, LLC, No. 15-10006, 11th Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 10121).
