Judge Dismisses Case Seeking Coverage For Assessments Stemming From Data Breach
Mealey's (June 7, 2016, 12:51 PM EDT) -- PHOENIX — An Arizona federal judge entered judgment in favor of a cyber security insurer on May 31 after ruling that coverage is excluded for a credit card association’s assessments and fees arising from a restaurant chain insured’s 2013 data breach (P.F. Chang's China Bistro Inc. v. Federal Insurance Co., No. 15-01322, D. Ariz.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 70749).
