Genentech, OSI Pay $67M To Settle Cancer Drug False Claims Lawsuit

(June 7, 2016, 12:31 PM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — Genentech Inc. and OSI Pharmaceuticals LLC on June 6 agreed to pay $67 million to resolve a False Claims Act lawsuit alleging that they misrepresented the effectiveness of the cancer drug Tarceva in certain patients (United States of America ex rel. Brian Shields v. Genentech, Inc., et al., No. 11-822, N.D. Calif.).
