Appellants Ask 9th Circuit To Award Prejudgment Interest Against E&O Insurer

Mealey's (June 7, 2016, 7:42 AM EDT) -- PORTLAND, Ore. — Appellants have asked the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to find that they are entitled to prejudgment interest at the Oregon statutory rate of 9 percent per annum on $4,119,225 that was due and owed to them by an executive and organization liability insurer from Sept., 18, 2004, until the principal amount owed was paid (Daryl Kollman, et al v. National Union Fire Insurance, 9th Cir., No. 15-35795).
