Judge: Insurer In Bad Faith Suit Failed To Comply With Appraisal Provision
(June 7, 2016, 7:03 AM EDT) -- DULUTH, Minn. — A federal judge in Minnesota on May 25 granted a motion to compel appraisal filed by insureds in an insurance breach of contract and bad faith lawsuit, ruling that the appraisal provision of a homeowners insurance policy was triggered and that the insurer refused to comply with the provision (Caleb and Danielle McCoy v. American Family Mutual Insurance Co., No. 15-4336, D. Minn.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 68735).
