High Court Rejects Native Americans’ Challenge To Solar Power Plant

Mealey's (June 6, 2016, 10:27 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Supreme Court on June 6 denied certiorari in a case brought by challengers to the operation of a solar power plant in the Mojave Desert who claim that the project is located on Native American sacred ground and, as such, violates the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) (La Cuna De Aztlan Sacred Sites Protection Circle Advisory Committee v. United States Department of the Interior, et al., No. 15-826, U.S. Sup.).
