City Of Denton, Texas, Passes Hydraulic Fracturing Ban

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 3:46 PM EDT) -- DENTON, Texas — The City of Denton on Nov. 4, 2014, became the first city in Texas to ban hydraulic fracturing when residents passed a proposition on the ballot, according to numerous local news outlets.

The proposition passed by a vote of 58.64 percent to 41.36 percent.
