Maryland Jury Awards $8.1M In Bystander Asbestos Case

(May 26, 2016, 12:43 PM EDT) -- BALTIMORE — A Maryland jury on April 29 awarded $8,114,166.79 to a man who suffered bystander asbestos exposure to drywall products, sources told Mealey Publications. The defendant obtained a directed verdict against the drywall mud manufacturer and the asbestos fiber supplier, sources confirmed (Patrick Rossello v. Lloyd E. Mitchell Co., No. 24X15000320, Md. Cir., Baltimore City).
