California Environmental Group Says Fracking Permit Approval Violated Federal Law

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 3:23 PM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — An environmental group on Dec. 3 filed a complaint in California federal court contending that various agencies under the auspices of the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) have violated the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) by approving permits for hydraulic fracturing (Environmental Defense Center v. Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, et al., No. 14-cv-09281, C.D. Calif.).
