D.C. Circuit Rejects Belize's Appeal Of Order Confirming $4.3 Million Award

(May 23, 2016, 9:16 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The District of Columbia Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on May 13 affirmed a district court's order enforcing a $4.3 million award that was issued in favor of a company that contracted with the Government of Belize for the development of an international airport, finding nothing to support refusal of confirmation based on the ground of international comity (Newco Limited v. Government of Belize, No. 15-7077, D.C. Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 8917).
