Magistrate Judge: Claim In Insurance Dispute Barred By Litigation Privilege
(May 20, 2016, 12:13 PM EDT) -- PORTLAND, Ore. — A federal magistrate judge in Oregon on May 9 granted summary judgment in favor of an insurer in an insurance dispute stemming from a fatal helicopter accident, ruling that the plaintiffs’ conversion claim is barred by the litigation privilege (William H. Coultas, et al. v. Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Co., No. 15-0237, D. Ore.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 60985).
