California Residents, Groups Sue State Agencies For Fracking Permit Approvals

Mealey's (June 18, 2015, 3:08 PM EDT) -- BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A group of California residents, along with two environmental groups, on Nov. 12, 2014, filed a complaint in state court, contending that the California agencies responsible for regulating hydraulic fracturing and protecting people and the environment have violated the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) in their approval of certain drilling projects (Association of Irritated Residents, et al. v. California Department of Conservation, et al., No. N/A, Calif. Super., Kern Co.).
