(May 16, 2016, 11:50 AM EDT) -- SELMA, Ala. — An Alabama federal judge on May 13 granted summary judgment in a DePuy Prodigy hip stem case, finding that the plaintiff missed the state’s two-year statute of limitations by delaying service of his complaint due to purported settlement negotiations (Maeola Goldthrip, et al. v. DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., et al., No. 15-651, S.D. Ala., Southern Div.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 63253).
