Sylvester Stallone, Movie Companies Seek Dismissal Of Copyright Infringement Suit
Mealey's (May 12, 2016, 3:27 PM EDT) -- TRENTON, N.J. — Movie production companies and Sylvester Stallone argue in New Jersey federal court in an April 22 motion that a copyright lawsuit alleging that they stole the idea of the 2015 boxing film “Creed” should be dismissed because the plaintiff cannot make a case after tweeting out his idea (Jarrett Alexander v. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc., et al., No. 16-02096, D. N.J.).
