5th Circuit Applies Reasonable Belief Standard, Reinstates EEOC Retaliation Suit

(May 12, 2016, 11:29 AM EDT) -- NEW ORLEANS — The Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on April 8 reinstated a retaliation suit filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on behalf of a worker terminated after corroborating a co-worker’s complaint of harassment (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission v. Rite Way Service, Incorporated, No. 15-60380, 5th Cir.; 2016 U.S. App. LEXIS 6473).
