Judge: Band’s Insurer Has Duty To Pay $1.9M To 2nd Insurer For Equipment Damage

(May 11, 2016, 12:12 PM EDT) -- NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A Tennessee federal judge on April 19 held that a country music band’s insurer is obligated to submit full payment of $1,961,203.66 to a second insurer for damage to leased production design and lighting equipment caused by the collapse of a concert stage’s temporary roof following a severe wind gusts (Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. v. St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company, et al., No. 12-0851 consolidated with No. 16-0641, M.D. Tenn.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 53216).
