California Federal Judge Denies Dismissal, Remand In Loan Late Charges Suit
(May 5, 2016, 7:27 AM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — A California federal judge on April 27 denied a motion to dismiss a class complaint filed in state court by a borrower who is accusing a lender of charging improper late fees despite timely payments but ruled that the case must proceed in federal court (Symeon Argyropoulos v. Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC, No. 15-4654, C.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 56256).
