MDL Judge Sets Date For 5th GM Ignition Switch Bellwether Trial
(May 4, 2016, 1:00 PM EDT) -- NEW YORK — The judge overseeing the General Motors faulty ignition switch multidistrict litigation on May 3 said the fifth bellwether trial against the automaker will begin Sept. 5 (In Re: General Motors LLC Ignition Switch Litigation, No. 1:14-md-0254; Stephanie Cockram v. General Motors LLC, No. 14-CV-8716, S.D. N.Y.).

In his scheduling order, U.S. Judge Jesse Furman of the Southern District of New York said GM will need to respond to Stephanie Cockram’s second amended complaint by May 25.
