States: Court Should Ignore ‘Supplemental Authority’ In Fracking Rule Lawsuit

(May 4, 2016, 8:57 AM EDT) -- CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A group of states that are challenging new federal regulations pertaining to hydraulic fracturing on April 29 filed a brief in Wyoming federal court contending that the district court should disregard the filing by intervenor groups that seek to supplement the court record with a recent peer-reviewed study about the groundwater impact of fracking in Pavillion, Wyo. (State of Wyoming v. U.S. Department of the Interior, et al., No. 15-00043, D. Wyo.).
