California Appellate Panel Affirms Premises Liability Ruling Denying New Trial

(May 4, 2016, 8:38 AM EDT) -- SAN DIEGO — A California appellate panel on April 26 affirmed a trial court’s ruling that denied a woman’s motion for a new trial in a slip-and-fall case after finding that the jury was not required to award her more than $200,000 just because it found that the owners of an apartment complex was responsible for her fall (Tammy Jo Ramos v. Bay Breeze #60, et al., No. D068035, Calif. App., 4th Dist., Div. 1; 2016 Cal. App. Unpub. LEXIS 3062).
